Tal origina uma relação terapêutica particular, assente na interacção entre o sujeito (criador), o objecto de arte (criação) e o terapeuta. &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#9999ff;"&gt;O recurso à imaginação, ao simbolismo e a metáforas&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; enriquece e incrementa o processo.&lt;br /&gt;       Uma obra de arte consegue, por si só, transmitir sentimentos como alegria, desespero, angústia e felicidade, de maneira única e pessoal, relacionadas ao estado espiritual em que se encontra o autor no momento da criação.&lt;br /&gt;A &lt;span style="color:#9999ff;"&gt;&lt;em&gt;utilização de recursos artísticos&lt;/em&gt; (&lt;/span&gt;pincéis, cores, papéis, argila, cola, figuras, desenhos, recortes, etc.) tem como &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#9999ff;"&gt;finalidade a mais pura expressão do verdadeiro self, não se preocupando com a estética, e sim com o conteúdo pessoal implícito em cada criação e explícito como resultado final&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;. Foi criada nos anos 1960 pelo antropólogo e psicólogo chileno Rolando Toro &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;Araneda&lt;/span&gt; e se encontra difundido em diversos países, incluindo países da &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#cc0000;"&gt;América Latina, Europa, Canadá, Japão e África do Sul.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt;Utilizando fundamentos da Biologia, da Antropologia e da Psicologia, a &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_4" class="blsp-spelling-error"&gt;&lt;em&gt;biodança&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/span&gt; se define oficialmente como um sistema de integração &lt;span id="SPELLING_ERROR_5" class="blsp-spelling-corrected"&gt;afectiva&lt;/span&gt;, de renovação orgânica e de reaprendizagem das funções originais da vida. &lt;/span&gt;é a utilização da música e/ou de seus elementos constituintes, &lt;span style="color:#3366ff;"&gt;ritmo,&lt;/span&gt; &lt;span style="color:#3366ff;"&gt;melodia&lt;/span&gt; e &lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;harmonia&lt;/span&gt;, por um musicoterapeuta qualificado, com um cliente ou grupo, em um processo destinado a facilitar e promover &lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;comunicação, relacionamento&lt;/span&gt;, &lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;aprendizado, mobilização, expressão, organização e outros objectivos terapêuticos relevantes&lt;/span&gt;, a fim de atender as necessidades físicas, emocionais, mentais, sociais e cognitivas. A musicoterapia busca &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;desenvolver potenciais&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; e/ou &lt;em&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;restaurar funções&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/em&gt; do indivíduo para que ele ou ela alcance uma melhor qualidade de vida, através de prevenção, reabilitação ou tratamento.&lt;br /&gt;Os musicoterapeutas trabalham com uma gama variada de pacientes. Entre estes estão incluídas pessoas com dificuldades motoras, autistas, pacientes com deficiência mental, paralisia cerebral, dificuldades emocionais, pacientes psiquiátricos, gestantes e idosos. O trabalho musicoterapeutico pode ser desenvolvido dentro de equipas de saúde multidisciplinares, em conjunto com médicos, psicólogos, terapeutas ocupacionais, fisioterapeutas e educadores. Também pode ser um processo autónomo realizado em consultório.&lt;br /&gt;A sistematização dos métodos utilizados só começou, no entanto, após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, com pesquisas realizadas nos Estados Unidos. O primeiro curso universitário de musicoterapia foi criado em 1944 na Michigan State University.&lt;br /&gt;A musicoterapia pode ser considerada &lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;receptiva&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/span&gt;quando o musicoterapeuta toca música para o paciente. Este tipo de sessão normalmente se limita a pacientes com grandes dificuldades motoras ou em apenas uma parte do tratamento, com objectivos específicos. Na maior parte dos casos a musicoterapia é &lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;activa&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;, ou seja, o próprio paciente toca os instrumentos musicais, canta, dança ou realiza outras actividades junto com o terapeuta. Alguns musicoterapeutas procuram interpretar musicalmente a música produzida durante a sessão. Outros preferem métodos que utilizem apenas a improvisação sem a necessidade de interpretação. A Lei nº 45/2003, de 22 de Agosto, faz o enquadramento base das terapêuticas não convencionais, estabelecendo as terapêuticas reconhecidas, bem como da acreditação dos seus profissionais.”*&lt;br /&gt;         Quanto às medicinas alternativas um Barómetro DN/TSF/Marktest (realizado entre 20 e 23 de Novembro com o recurso a 807 entrevistas a indivíduos de idade igual ou superior aos 18 anos residentes em Portugal Continental, 428 das quais mulheres. O erro da amostra é de 3,5 por cento) revelou que só 15,4% da população inquirida admitiu ter utilizado este tipo de terapêutica e a população de idade compreendida entre os 35 e os 54 são os que mais desejam este tipo de medicina reconhecida.&lt;br /&gt;
